Hello everyone, please forgive me if this has been asked before, but i didnt know how to phrase it to search for it! I was wondering when Windows 7 is released and i buy it will i have to to a clean install or will there be an option to insert the activation key from the copy i have bought? Save me a lot of hassle,as im having no problems with it right now and then i could just do a clean install when i have the need to. Thanks for reading and any replies:>
hi guys! im loving windows 7 but ive bumped into quite a few programs problems especially with vaio programs. im going to reinstall beta on a spare hard drive but i am planning to buy it when it is released. my question is that will microsoft by then be able to work out if i can install sony programs from my recovery CDs such in DSD and inter win BD for vaio, those are the only 2 i use on my lappy. sadly windows 7 says error 503:01 somethin like that if i try to restore these programs oh well anyone with vaios having success?
I am curious about getting windows 7 rc beta as a dual boot option on my main pc that has windows 64 pro installed. Will I be able to dual boot this? My other question is once the beta expires, can I just buy a key so i don't have to re-install windows 7 again? Or would I need to install windows 7 on top of my windows xp pro 64 bit os?
how much is windows 7 expected to cost ?
How to back up data in Windows Xp prof.. and restore in windows 7 RC
When will Windows 7 be on in-store computers? My daughter needs a laptop for college this Fall. How log should I wait to purchase one?
Hello everyone, I have been looking around but so far I haven't found anyone with my problem yet. After what seemed to be a successful upgrade from Vista Home Premium 64-bit to Windows 7 RC 64-Bit, my computor BSOD's on the frist restart after displaying "System is Starting Services" (picture links below) The odd part is I then partitioned off my hard drive and did a clean install of 7, which worked great. Here are my specs: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (64-Bit) Service Pack 1 HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU 2.00GHz 4062MB RAM NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT Troubleshooting I have done: -Uninstalled all programs and drivers that conflicted with compatibility report -re-downloaded and burned the install disc -tried installing the windows 7 beta as opposed to the rc -disabled my video drivers Thanks again everyone. http://img139.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=80652455.jpg
I just had a new hard drive installed on this PC. I asked the tech to install Windows 7 instead of Vista. Windows 7 is over whelmingly great in every aspect! The graphics, sounds, music and pictures are everything one could even hope to have. My main concern is when Microsoft takes Windows 7 RC from my hard drive - what am I going to end up with?Nothing? A blank screen? Anyone and everyone who might know what I should do, please answer this as it does have me worried. Should I put another version of Windows on the PC now or just wait for the sale of Windows 7? Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, JudyTW
I am very curious about windows 7 and am very tempted to install it on my one and only home computer, but have doubts. I have started several times, but stopped. I really want to do this but need some reassurance that it would be relatively safe, and that all my hardware IE: printers, digital cameras, smart phone syncs and tmobile at home router would be compatible.
