I have an old HDD and a NEW SSD. trying to wipe my old hdd for mass storage and keep ssd for os.

Windows 7

My HDD won't format because it still has windows on it. I have my SSD already up and working. I've already deleted pretty much everything off my HDD but I still can't get my computer to recognize the ssd to only put on os and stuff while I want my games on my HDD. How do I get it so I can DELETE everything off my HDD INCLUDING my OS and only using it for downloads and stuff? I have windows 10. Thanks for the help!

Windows 10 update wakes up computer automatically overriding all policies.

Windows 7

HI, I have a very expensive gaming laptop with lots of fans and ventilation systems. It needs to be outside laptop bag to run, because of needed ventilation. I only use it for about 20%-40%. This means it sits in the bag most of the time. In windows 10 Windows update overrides all power settings and wakes up the computer when it needs to run the updates. This is about to burn out my laptop hardware which is very expensive, because the machine is turning on while in the bag. Microsoft needs to fix this major flaw in the system. I do not know how they forgot use case of laptops when designing windows 10 a latest iteration. Thanks

Feature update failing on build 10586.33 (1511)

Windows 7

Error displayed in Windows update: • Feature update to Windows 10 Enterprise, version 1607 - Error 0x8024a205 Error on three machines (VM5.5) that I use to test updates prior to rollout via SCCM 2012. 1. I have restarted machines and retried the update. 2. I have run sfc /scannow 3. I have downloaded and run the windows update troubleshooter, which found and repaired problems (Windows Update database corruption) - report and logs generated. 4. Machines now report as up-to-date, but still fail to download and install the feature update (eventually redisplay error). 5. Other updates correctly report as installed. I need to push this to over 300 physical machines, so any help here would be very much appreciated. Scotty!

Windows 10 DVD player app

Windows 7

After the last Win 10 update my DVD player app (included with my Win7 upgrade) stopped working. It says that no playable files are found. VLC does play the same discs on the same hardware. Is there any way to re-install this app (without purchasing a new copy)?
