When the photo app was used to sync my pictures it created multiple copies of some of the existing stored pictures and I am unable to delete some of them. When I try to delete I get a message " Could not delete, one or more files. Another app might be using them or you might not have permission to delete them." Any ideas how to correct this? The second issue I have is that I cannot import form the SD card of my Sony DSC-HX20V camera -- the message given is as follows "Cannot import because you do not have access privileges for the folder to import to". I have managed to to get some images from the card to the desktop but is it possible to transfer them to the folder from here?
Movie apps and most videos are not working properly since Windows 10 upgrade, movie apps either say video failed or I get a blank screen with audio. Sometimes they load, mostly not. Same applies to any live feed. Not my PC, maybe Windows 10 has a few bugs they're working out? Anyone else have the same problem?
I have installed windows 10 twice now. Each time as soon as an update is done involving Defender I am unable to open any of my apps. ie: Outlook, word, quicken and many more. Please tell me if you have an answer. If I cannot get this resolved I will have to go back to Windows 7 which I don't want to do. Thanks
I recently installed the Windows 10 update. I have spent lots of time organizing all of my photos into various albums. However, with the update, my pictures just show in order of the date which they were taken. I have tried everything to get them to go back into albums, but nothing works. Is there a way I can get my photos organized again? Thanks.
I use the Verizon Webmail page for my email account. It does not display properly using Edge. The email list and preview panes are fine, but the left panel, that contains all the file folders, including drafts, sent, trash, etc., is blank. According to Verizon, this is a Microsoft issue. The webmail page works fine with Google Chrome and IE, so I am not using Edge at all.
I sorry to ask such a stupid question, but here goes. I'm coming straight off win 7 where everything was so simple and straight forward at least for me, one of the 'dummies' the books are written for. All I want to do is, when forwarding an email to a number of contacts, something I do on a regular basis is 'to access my contacts list and select the people I want to forward the message to, presto job done. My contact list resides under the "people" tile so I know it exists in my PC. For now; I select "forward" then hit "To" and... zilch no contacts to select from. I know there must be a simple answer, but for the life of me I can't find it. As always the help available only give info on what you know already. Be most grateful for assistance. Derek w
Windows Photo App. works great until I attempt to edit a picture. Once I am finished editing and want to save it the only option that I have is to copy it. All I want to do is to update the original. What can I do? I select the photo, hit Edit, hit Rotate and hit Save. The response is: Save Copy? The file is locked by another app. at this time?
I am using the Mail app in Windows 10, connecting it to my Outlook.com mail account. I have my outlook.com email set to separate the emails rather than grouping them by thread. They get grouped again on the Mail app. I do not see a way to specify separate viewing in the Mail app. What gives? I find this very annoying. It greatly interferes with my filing things away in folders. There are a lot of things I like about the Mail app, but this is not one of them. Are you going to force me to use outlook.com on the web?
Why do I not have the option of closing a current tab instead of closing all tabs? This oversight in programming is frustrating. Also - off subject - Why did you change the format of the msn news page? It takes too long to browse and does not return you to the point last viewed when you go back to the home page after reading a story. Again - frustrating.
I have very recently installed W10, and it looks very good but I have one nasty problem! When I open the new "Photos" app it appears to open properly, starts collecting and displaying images from among my stored photos, but then after running for about 10 seconds the whole app just disappears. Without trace. Fortunately I can still access my photos in Windows Gallery, and in a third party images program I downloaded a year ago, so I know my photos have survived the upgrade to W10. Why can't I use the new app? (Could it be it needs to use cloud storage, which I've not yet signed up to?)
