windows 10 - documents won't delete

Windows 10

My folders have been working perfectly up until last few weeks. When I delete a standard document, it says it has deleted but then when I go back to the folder it has popped up again! It's driving me crazy as folders are getting larger by the day. I've tried cutting and moving, deleting, copying and deleting but they keep coming back. I'm getting no error messages. I should point out this is Onedrive related only. Can anyone help? Thank you

On Windows 8.1 getting an error, "is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource."

Windows 10

I am getting this error when trying to connect to a server (Apache/Linux) of my website. Sometimes and frequently I get this error: I am using Windows 8.1 Pro. I have tried to search a lot for this error and tried out the solutions provided in various sites including forums at microsoft but for some reason this error doesn't seem to go. How do I get rid of this error?

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA while booting Windows 10, even from installation media

Windows 10

Hello everybody. I've started to enocunter the infamous Blue Screen of Death in my Windows 10 Home. I own a Dell Inspiron 7559, and I have two hard drives, with two operating systems on them - one being a Linux distro, the other being Windows 10. It worked well for over 6 months now, but for some reson I'm getting the BSOD at boot. I'm not even able to boot into safe mode, and even the automatic repair fails with the same error message. Linux works fine, on the other way, and this is what I use for work now and to create this post. I've already went through some troubleshooting, but I was unable to make it working again. What I did included running a full memory test, running chkdsk and trying to replace the ram. What is even more iffy is that I get this error while the Windows 10 Home installation usb is booting, rendering my windows installation unusable. What I AM able to do, however, is to create a virtual machine under Linux, and boot it using my hard drive that contains windows 10. The machine starts perfectly and works every time, so I am able to run some windows related commands. Obviously, it's a virtualised environment, so most hardware is not accessible directly. But at least I am able to access any log files or memory dumps, if any happen. If anybody could tell me what information (logs, dumps) to POST I would be happy to do so, to get this issue fixed as fast as possible ;)

Volume Issues on Windows 10

Windows 10

So, I am having a problem with the volume on my windows 10. When I adjusted the volume, instead of the volume thing fading away on the screen, it stayed there, and I can't get it to go away. Worse, I can't restart on do anything because the little windows/home button in the bottom left corner will not open, even when i click on it multiple times. Also, i cannot open any of the icon in the bottom right corner, but i seem to be able to open browsers and my saved files. Please help, I don't know what to do, and I don't want to pay to get my computer fixed. Help!

Computer freezes when watching videos

Windows 10

Hi all, My computer freezes during youtube videos or even watching videos on random news sites. It happens in Microsoft Edge as well as Google Chrome. It happens using integrated graphics as well as using a Gigabyte Nvidia GT 710 graphics card. The computer may go for a few minutes (say 10 or 15) before freezing, or possibly not even last one video. It's a bit random in that sense. When it freezes the only thing I can do is cut power and turn it back on; mouse doesn't work, Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't work. When it freezes the audio freezes as well, continuing to play the frequencies at the moment of the freeze, sounding like an unpleasant buzzing sound. After a freeze -> cut power -> turn back on it may freeze during the next boot at the login screen or something and I'll have to cut power again and turn it back on. With the computer on Ubuntu 16.04 it works fine, but on Windows 10 it has this issue. This leads me to believe it is not a hardware issue. The computer has been freshly installed and Windows Update says it's up to date. Kind regards, Daniel

Application developed with Surface SDK 2.0 is not receiving touch events from HP S230tm

Windows 10

I work on a Surface application developed using Surface SDK 2.0 on a desktop with a touch screen. On Windows 7 desktop with a Samsung touch screen it works already several year, using the Surface Runtime (2.0). On a Windows 7 or Windows 10 laptop with an HP S230tm touch screen the application does not receive touch events. On the Windows 7 laptop a little pointer is shown, where my finger touches the screen when running the full screen application. On the Windows 10 laptop nothing happens. However, the touch screen works well even with multi touch with both versions of Windows when NOT running the application. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong?

Windows 10 activation key different with every version?

Windows 10

So my hard drive just failed on my laptop, now I'm replacing it, i downloaded the windows 10 creation tool and made a bootable pc. But now i dont know what version it is, I do have the activation key but sadly i forgot to check the win10 version when i checked for the key. Are the activation key for win10 home, win10 home N, and win10 home single language key different?. I tried installing once but when i placed the key, it said that it was invalid, i used win10 home at that time. I'm don't wanna buy a new windows 10, :( . Also if you can help me, when i placed the new hard drive in the laptop, i placed the usb, but still it tells me that no bootable device detected, so when I said before that i tried the USB i was using the old hard drive, just to check if the usb(with win10 installer) worked.

Replace local ip with DNS in Windows Health attestation server configuration

Windows 10

Hi, I have configured the windows health attestation server on Windows server 2016, I have assigned the local IP on the server because it is connected with reverse proxy server and local IP is mapped with public DNS (10.25.218.xx - whas.securearena.org) on RP server. Now, when I am accessing the health attestation server url using below link, it is working fine but it is showing local IP address (10.25.218.34) on that page. Can you please help me how to replace the IP with DNS name? https://whas.securearena.org/DeviceHealthAttestation/DeviceHealthAttestation.svc Page snapshot: svcutil.exe https://10.25.218.34/DeviceHealthAttestation/DeviceHealthAttestation.svc?wsdl I have already done the changes in etc host file but it's not working. 10.25.218.xx whas.securearena.org One more thing i have tried is configured the hostname in IIS server under bindings but after that I am getting not found error.
