Hi all, I bought a PC in September, set it up, turned it on. All okay. However, once Windows 10 detected that updates were available, it proceeded to download and install them. It then reboots to BSOD all the time with varying error messages in memory management, kmode exception not handled, iqrl not less or equal etc After restoring my system I decided to disable Windows Update and this fixed the problem. However, I have recently purchased a new GPU which is also giving me problems. So I figured the best place to start is to ensure that Windows qp is fully up-to-date... but this means having to figure out a way to update without getting BSOD all the time. Help!
I've been trying to update my windows 8.1 for a few days now and it doesn't get passed checking for updates even after a hour of waiting. I've used the Fix-it program and restarted my PC and waited another hour but still the same outcome. After that i've tried updating my windows update agent but it seems like i have the latest version but i'm not sure (wuaueng.dll file version 7.9.9600.17031). I've flushed my dns and made sure my internet was not the problem. I was able to update windows defender to latest version (definitions 1.233.3481.0). Also i've recently done a clean install of windows, i have a HP 15 Notebook PC windows 8.1 with bing x64 based. i've tried everything i could find and im stumped i need some help please. (this is my first time asking a question on the forums)
How do you stop W10 from constantly looking for photos on my iphone while being connected to the USB port for charging? It's nuisance and will not stop. I keep telling it to stop looking. The popup goes away then in one minute it starts again. Now I know why I like my MAC. I'm being forced to use a PC. I've been back on a PC for one week and want to throw this pc out the window. The other issue is Windows saying "not responding" OMFG, but that is for another post.
About a week ago, 12th Dec. 2016, I stopped receiving emails on my Windows app. I have checked all the settings, run the app diagnostic and spoken at length to Microsoft, but all to no avail. The last thing they told me to do was to reinstall Windows without losing any information. This whole process took about 4 hours. I also did a restore to the 1st Dec before the problem started. I have not installed any software or programs for at least 2 months. I also have a laptop running Windows 8.1 and this seems ok if a little slow in receiving emails. I have three email addresses, 2 fromSky and one from Yahoo, but I know they are both now owned by Sky. I can access all my emails by going to the website and retrieving them from there but it was a lot quicker with the app. Any suggestions, regards Steve
I am computer illiterate, for all practical purposes. I use my PC without understanding what I'm doing. Awhile ago, I took the Windows 10 update from Windows 8.1. Now, I cannot load anything from disk drive. Screen image jumps. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow response. My e-machines PC has an AMD II X220 processor 2.8Ghz, RAM 3.0 GB (2.75 usable), 32 bit on 64 bit processor. No pen or touch display. I installed W 8.1 by disc, updating Windows 7. I retain the disc. I would like to get the disc drive working -- it's not shown on the list of devices -- to download the 8.1 CD. I don't know how to add the CD player to devices. I don't know if I should use the 32-bit disc or the 64-bit disc or what the difference may be. I installed the 32 bit because it was the first one in the box. I don't know how to prepare to reinstall: Will a drive-wiper (CCleaner) return the disc to factory standard? I have 891GB of 913GB available disc space. Just guessing -- I think Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 are all mixed together. I use the PC for email and shopping. There are apps I never use and don't understand. I never download movies but would like to download music at some point. I have CCleaner and Malwarebytes in addition to Windows security. At 75, my learning curve is pretty shallow, so a patient, kind step by step reply in the Queen's English would be deeply appreciated and answered with lavish gratitude. J.H. Hi all, Were looking into moving a MySQL v5 database into MSSQL 2014 STD. Currently, a 2-server fail-over cluster 'hosts' MySQL as a service; the database lives on a LUN in a SAN array. The MySQL database supports one of our healthcare clinical applications, with 300 or so client users total. When MSSQL is setup, it will be on a Server 2012R2 VM in a fully licensed Datacenter cluster. Question; Aside from the SQL licensing itself, will the new model require us to consider SQL CALs differently than before? i.e. will we need userdevice CALs that are not required when using MySQL? Any insights appreciated! ~Ezra
I am trying to use my Ausdom M04S bluetooth headphones with a Dell XPS 13 laptop. It says the headphones are paired but when using the "connect" tab under the action center it says "Couldn't connect". It doesn't connect using the "Playback Devices" section either. The thing is I have been using these headphones for about 2 months now with no problems. The headphones work fine with my phone and the laptops bluetooth system works fine with a bluetooth mouse. So I don't know where the problem is. What can I do about this? Thanks in advance...
