Internet and Network

Windows 10

Hi, I know others have already posted about having this problem, but none of the proposed solutions have help fix my problem. I am unable to hold an internet connection for more than a few minutes, and after running diagnostics I receive the the message "Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings". I have tried to fix it using other user's solutions but nothing seems to work.

Does Windows Update (Windows 10) restart your computer BEFORE downloading the updates?

Windows 10

I don't know if I have a computer problem or not. Today my computer unexpectedly restarted with no error message. When I clicked on settings to see if it had done a Windows Update, it said checked yesterday. So I did not see any reason for for computer to be restarted. But a few minutes later I hear a sound coming from computer (desktop tower), like something was going on. Again I clicked on settings and it was downloading and then installing updates. I have never seen it restart BEFORE, there were updates made. When I checked the last time it said Windows was up to date checked at 10:50am, which was the time my computer was restarted. This sounds crazy, but it IS WHAT HAPPENED. Computer was restarted before the update process. Is this normal or a problem? HP Desktop Model 260-a020. Thanks for any information.

I am repeatedly getting the blue screen error ATTEMPTED_SWITCH_FROM_DPC

Windows 10

I am repeatedly getting the blue screen error ATTEMPTED_SWITCH_FROM_DPC while in the middle of using my computer or when the computer is idle. This morning it occurred while I was using iTunes (my music library is on an external drive) and while in the background I was running a backup job (backing up to an external drive). It is really causing me to lose confidence in Windows if I can't even do routine tasks without my computer shutting down in the middle. Any help to fix this would be appreciated.
