I get error message 0001 0002 when trying to install drivers for a Canon Pixma MX922 printer. Canon reps have tried to find a solution - - to no avail. (It appears to be a Windows error message rather than one generated by the Canon setup program.) The error message appears when a) downloading the drivers from its website The exact moment it occurs during the driver installation process is when the setup program is "Registering the program information."
I haverecently experienced some problems with my computers hardware. I'm far from an expert, but what I understood, the drive containing windows had to be wiped. After I received my pc again, it said windows wasn't activated. I no longer had the licence key I originally got with my computer, thus I consulted someone on the phone and they told me to buy a new licence key, which I did. I went into settings>activate windows. It's telling me my copy isn't genuine. I click the change product key option, and input my new licence key, only to be confronted with the error message 'the product ke you entered did not work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. (Both suggestions I followed, as I had accidentally purchased twould new licence keys) Error Code:0x80041023 What should i do? Thank you, Samuel Stork
Split from this thread. I have the same problem, except it is the wired LAN connection. I run the diagnostics and everything appears to be working normally. However, it has no connectivity to the LAN. We run a inventory system that requires a wired connection. My machine is an older pentium machine running windows 10. It was the windows update from 11/9. I can't roll back the update either. I suppose it is time to scrap it. I'm wondering if this update caused an IRQ error on the nic card. Since the nic card can't figure out what is happening, it is happy. It gets an invalid IP address from the router. Weird thing, is that it will print to the network printer and it is visible as being on the network from our other machines. But, you can't connect to it. ****Post has been split by the moderator due to difference in the subject*****
I have a client who upgraded their Windows 8 32 BIT operating system during the free upgrade period or whatever it was, but their PC has a 64 BIT processor. We've added more RAM to it, but because 32 BIT will only "use, or see" so much of it, they're not getting the full benefit. From what I've read, and can best tell, I can just format their hard drive, and install the 64 BIT version, and since they had a license (by doing the free upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 10), then they should be OK, as in they won't need to purchase Windows 10. Is my assumption correct, or will they in fact be required to purchase a full copy of Windows 10? As I understand it, the license is tied to the hardware ID (not too much of a techie, just going off what I've read), and that as long as it's installed or re-installed on the same PC itself, then it should be OK. Just wanted to make sure before I suggest to them that they go ahead and wipe everything (they have what they needed backed up already documents, etc.), and start with a fresh 64 BIT install. Thanks!
Hello everyone, I'm just experiencing the worst thing that ever happened to my Lumia 950 so far. My has been running perfectly since June 2016 when I bought it until last Tuesday the 17th of January. The 10.0.14393.693 (latest updates) were ready and I restarted my phone to finish the installation. The installation process has stopped after a very short while and this sign -:) appeared on the screen and the phone shut down. Tried to restart again, same thing all over and all over again. I downloaded Windows Device Recovery Tool and after time spent and efforts (the phone became unrecognizable after only a few seconds, etc) and I managed to reset the phone and reinstall the software. Initially I have tried to recover the previous settings, apps, etc.Funny enough, after all the apps had been updated, the phone wouldn't show the start screen but only the list of apps. Mind you, the same 10.0.14393.693 update were installed and caused exactly the same thing as before. I then decided to reset the phone and do the whole thing again but I chose "start fresh" this time, fearing that some of my apps my conflict with the new updates. This time everything appeared to be "normal", I had a start screen ,etc. However, after trying to install the 10.0.14393.693 updates, the phone is dead again... Any ideas/solutions?

I can select any application to open a file, but I really don't know how to send a folder (all files in a selected folder) to an application. In the example below I was trying to send audio files to a media player (other than the PotPlayer listed in the menu). Can I add a menu item or use Send to? Where is the folder Sendto located in Windows 10? T

I have win 10 pro, prod. part #[TH] x19-9, a full-packaged product. I downloaded it on a flash drive from Microsoft. Using the "Backup and Restore" folder, I attempted to create a system image on an installed WD hard drive. It looks as if it's going to happen; and somewhat along the process, it fails. I receive a admonition accompanied by a sequence of numbers and letters, 0x807800c5. Below that sequence is another admonition with the following: 0x80780081. I don't know what to do next. thanks.
I failed the 70-411 exam for the 2nd time in a 12 month period on January 17, 2017. I know the retake policy says that I will need to wait 14 days before I retake the exam a 3rd time. I understand this to mean that the soonest that I can take the exam for the 3rd time, will be on January 31, which is exactly 14 days after January 17. However the policy is a little vague. Does it mean that I will need to wait 14 days and then on the 15th day I can retake the exam, or just 14 days? Thank you for any assistance that you can provide! Source: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/certification-exam-policies.aspx P.S. Sorry if I put this question in the wrong category, there was no "Certification" or "Microsoft" categories.
I had to do a recovery on my computer and now there isn't a DVD player app in Auto Play. Autoplay says I need to select from store, but the DVD App is $14. Is there a promotional code to download for free? When I downloaded Windows 10, the DVD app was included.
I am trying to download a music program that is asking me for my computer ID and I can't find it on my computer. I'm using Windows 8 and I've looked everywhere I can think of but I cannot find it. I've tried my computer name but that doesn't work. Can anyone help me with this?
