Coding in Notepad and Edge

Windows 7

Asked by: Monkey66ZR

I am trying to code a website for beginners using Notepad. Recently I have upgraded to Windows 10 which included MS Edge.

When I taught these lessons using IE I was able to open a Notepad file from the menu bar in IE, but now on Edge this facility has disappeared. I am not able to revert to IE, so is there away that I can open the notepad file in Edge?

We are trying to see what happens when we adjust the coding ie font size and adding pictures etc.

If I can't do this in Edge, is there an alternative?

We would like to inform you that Internet Explorer is still available in Windows 10. You can pull it up by typing Internet Explorer on the search bar or Cortana. For further assistance regarding your coding concerns with Microsoft Edge, we highly recommend that you post your query on the MSDN forums.
