Creative ChatMax HS-720 Headset is not working

Original title: Creative ChatMax HS-720 Headset

My headset is not delivering sound. The microphone works just fine, but there is no sound coming through. It is set as my default device and I have tried it on other computers and no sound is delivered! Can this be a hardware issue or could it be fixed with the click of a button? How can I get sound to work?

I have a windows 7 and the driver is installed.

1)       Did you make any changes to the computer before the issue occurred?

2)       Does the headset get detected in Device Manager?

3)       Are you getting any error message?



I would suggest you to try the steps provided below and check if it helps.


Method 1: Try to run the hardware troubleshooter and check what the issue is and fix it accordingly.

Method 2:  If the issue persists then try updating the latest drivers for your sound card and check if it helps, here is the link:


If the issue persists then try to keep in touch with the Creative support.
