I just reset my computer to it's factory settings to get a fresh start, and all of a sudden, Itunes won't install. I didn't have this problem before. I'm running Windows 10 with all the current updates already downloaded. It's running on a HP 400-314 desktop computer. Here is the error I'm getting: I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling all Apple Software, including deleting the folders out of my programs directory and rebooting. A step by step process of what I've tried many a times over can be found here: https://www.groovypost.com/howto/tips-install-itunes-windows-10/ I've already attempted a clean boot to no avail. I still get the same error. Lastly, I tried to manually install Visual C++ and it also did not make any difference. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=21254 Does anyone have any other solutions to this problem? I see a lot of people are having it.
I moved a garden variety Seagate SATA disk drive (1.5 TB) from a windows 7 machine to a windows 10 machine. The drive does not show up in the file explorer but does show up in the device manager without a drive letter. The events tab under properties for the drive shows "device not migrated". How do I "migrate" the device so I can access the data on the disk? BTW, I've seen a several posts on similar problems (none of them ever show up as "solved"!) but they are different in the following way: The other posts ... ... describe problems with USB External drives. Mine is a SATA internal drive. ... seem to be adding new/empty drives. My drive has 770 Gb on it so I don't want to format it as part of the fix. Moving a hard drive from an old machine to a new machine >must< be a common operation. Am I the only one with the problem? Gotta believe this would be all over the news if this capability was removed from windows 10 or if it was a serious bug. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. PS: tried reloading driver, troubleshooting, clean boot per other posting to help sites.

Since the updates for windows 10 last week, I have been unable to use my computer. Among the many problems are the cursor disappears, the screen will scroll over and over, the touchscreen doesn't work, basically nothing works except it it turns on and I can see the pictures. It does this in every program whether I'm using the Internet, writing a document in Office, or I am in the desktop screen. Nothing works. Please help me. I have tried to take off the updates but they immediately reload. Rebooting does nothing either.I have tried to take off the updates but they immediately go back
Have spent two days trying to enable the Mail App for Windows 10 (won't receive emails); also unable to change silly Edge/Bing browser to Google Chrome; also fed up with horrendous time for Shut Down or for Restart; disgusted by the amount of bloatware (Candy Crush; Xbox etc)...what a time-consuming pain to rid the system of such unwanted, deep-embedded apps; and most importantly, Adblocker is not available for my version of Windows 10 Tablet . Apparently, an upgrade to Anniversary edition is necessary, but the web is full of stories of major problems after such an upgrade. Cannot believe how much trouble Windows 10 is causing. This is not a conversion from a previous state, but a brand new computer with Windows 10 pre-installed. Am strongly minded to return it to the retailer.
Hi, I just got a new computer about 2 weeks ago and I needed to activate my windows but when I went to do so, the login bar to login to my computer wasn't there. I researched ways to fix the problem and everything said to go to safe mode with networking. But when I tried to connect to the internet I couldn't. And I need to connect to the internet to fix the login bar. Please help!
I have two laptops. I'm writing on the one that works. I want to get the information off the other one, but I can't get into it because there's something wrong with the screen and it won't let me type my password into it. How can I bypass the password so I can retrieve information--photos, documents, stuff like that-- from the computer before getting rid of it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
I am using a Dell Desktop Computer with Windows 10...I originally upgraded from Windows 7 with no problems...Today, I was on my computer and shut it down using the power button...Now, when I try to restart my computer, it only loads the first screen showing the time and date...It does not continue on to the log-in screen ( I am not able to enter my password). Can you offer any advice regarding this issue ?
