Networking printing with a Brother MFC 465CN

Windows 7

Asked by: Ryhner

I have tried to use network printing with my MFC 465CN Brother printer. It has a built in network card, so I've install it as a network printer back in beta and even in RC.

In both instances, when I try to print anything, print jobs end up cancelling on the printer for no reason, part of the way through, but windows just keeps resending the job. I'm guessing it's a driver issue, or a setting or something. My router I think would either block it entirely, thus no printing at all, or just not bother.

I can't install Brother drivers, even in Vista compatible mode. I get a network error. When I consulated Brother about it, they said there is no seven drivers yet and will be releasing drivers when it's closer to release, blah, blah, blah.

Any help would be apperciated. I would like to be able to actual use my netwrok printing feature on my great printer so far.
