With a system crash from the infamous windows 10, i lost over 60,000 photos including my entire photography portfolio, writings, videos of my children's first birthdays, countless memories and files i can't get back. Can't afford a lawyer although it seems a winning case, hands down. Looking to be compensated and fight back. Suggestions? Input?
Hi Everyone. Toshiba Satellite C650 Windows 10 I upgraded my Ram a couple of months ago from 1x2gb to 2 x 4gb ddr3 No issues with upgrading what so ever and everything was fine until A) I realized that the 32 bit version of windows 10 has limited Ram B) A game i purchased required 64bit version of Windows. I did all the normal checks and my PC can run the 64 bit version. So after so playing around I have upgraded to the 64bit version. I was not able to upgrade using the new RAM i had to go back to the old ram to run the install. If I didnt I kept getting the good old BSOD and Kernel Security check failure. Using the 2gig of ram is horrible. I cant run my new game and everything is very slow. As I have just updated to windows 64bit I dont have many programs running other than steam I have tried everything I can. I have stopped every program other then windows stuff from starting up. I have check that all device drivers are up to date. I have turned off all security software I have tried using one ram stick at a time in either of the two slots Because Toshiba doesnt like people chaging things the BIOS options are very limited so I cant really change anything in there. I have also made sure my BIOS is up to date. Have still not been able to get around the problem. Anyone with an idea would be fantastic.

Hiya all, Thought I'd try here before asking the place where I bought the computer, as I have surely already compromised my guarantee and been a rather silly boy... Bought a new PC with no OS. Installed Win 8 Pro fine from a disk (genuine!), and then went to use the remaining free Windows 10 upgrade. It told me that the version of Win 8 I has was not for a clean install so I could not upgrade. I searched online and found a registry amend (changing a 1 to a 0) that would re-enable the upgrade. This seemed to work, and Win 10 downloaded and began to install, but crashed 80% of the way through. I spent a while trying to either get back to Win 8 or move forwards to Win 10, but it would do neither, with a variety of BSOD and stopcodes. I then went out and bought a new version of Win 10 on USB stick and tried that, again with no luck. I plugged the HD into another machine and had a look at it. lo and behold, it has a partition on it for system files so I figured these may be causing the problem. I deleted the partition, and then full formatted the drive. This morning I reconnected the HD and tried again to install Win10 from USB, and got the c000021a stopcodee again... Incidentally, it produces this stopcode EVEN WITH NO HD CONNECTED! Any ideas? Cheers, Jim
Hi, I had a problem connecting to the internet that turned out to be my PC didn't have an IP address. I changed my wifi properties to manual config then the diagnostic/trouble shooting facility said DHCP wasn't working. It provide the fix to start DHCP and everything was fine. When I reload the PC the problem started again, however this time it wasn't fixed my the manual IP address, and I discovered this time it was no DNS service. I duly manually configured a connect to the DNS server and it all worked again. What on earth can cause such a bizarre set of failures? Could it be my network adapter is having problems, o the driver software? I'm not sure if the TCP/IP processing is actually managed by Windows or does it run within the network adapter? Curious eh? Any advice would be appreciated.
I had a problem on windows 10 where I couldn't get the wifi to work. I tried updating drivers to no evil. I reloaded windows 7 but still had the same problem. I am now reloading windows 10 but it won't accept my product key. I made a note of the product key before I loaded windows 7. Please help. Thanks in advance.
Dear Drawboard and Microsoft, My first Surface Pro 4 was no longer detecting any type covers attached to it, so I sent it in for a repair. Microsoft then had ungracefully performed a device exchange without consulting me, luckily I did have (most of..)my important documents backed up so the resulting business damage was minimal. As I review documents and plans complete with annotations, alterations, and insertions two or three times a month but intensely, it was a while before I noticed that Drawboard PDF was not on system. As there were more important business issues at hand than my ability to review pdf files, AND another lot of Surface Pro 4 problems, which resulted in yet another refurbished device being sent my way. TL;DR can one of you reinstate Drawboard PDF please? I could furnish you with my previously edited documents as proof of.... possession? I understand that Microsoft is really dragging it's feet.. Regards, Frustrated Kevin
My mouse pointer leaves the current window and goes to the start menu icon . that causes a problem when i am typing .. the typing stops and i should return the mouse pointer to the window again to continue ... My lap is Sony VAIO model :- SVF14AA1QL with window 8 thank you
So my Sculpt Ergonomic mouse stopped working. It seems to be some sort of error with the wireless dongle hardware. I have tried all the various steps listed here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/811798. When I check the USB receiver's status in the Device Manager it gives me the following error: Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) Then inside the Properties I get: Windows has stopped this device as it has reported problems. (Code 43) I uninstalled and re-installed the device as recommended here https://msdn.microsoft.com/windows/hardware/drivers/install/cm-prob-failed-post-start No change. I should note that this mouse is actually a replacement for the first one I had. The first mouse I had stopped working in exactly the same way and I got a replacement from Microsoft through the re-seller. I fear I might have to go through the arduous process of replacement AGAIN.
