PDF viewing and printing with windows 8.1

Windows 8.1

Asked by: JamesSetliff

to view or print a pdf file with ease one has to use the tile mode of win 8.1.  I find this ****. it defeats the original purpose of windows which was to allow different apps to run concurrently.

please, Microsoft, make changes to allow pdf files to be viewed and printed in the desktop mode like in xp. when that is attempted now the view frompage to page is very slow. it can not be scrolled. and when trying to print in the desktop mode it is corrupted.

printing in the tile mode would be somewhat acceptable if all options allowed by the printer were available, such as printing in draft mode to save ink.

btw, I find no good purpose for the tile mode when using a pc.

Try posting in the Programs (apps) forum instead => http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-winapps

State your default PDF reader & version (e.g., Adobe Acrobat v10.1.9; Adobe Reader v11.0.5; Foxit Reader v6.2.2.0789) in your very first post.
