RealTek Wi-Fi Adapter not working

Windows 8.1

Asked by: Johnswxd

I've been having issues with my wifi either disconnecting while in use or not even starting up or letting me choose networks to connect to at all. I've tried updating my network adapter drivers which I think is a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter by searching automatically, but Windows says my software is up to date. I've also tried uninstalling the adapter from the device manager, then restarting my laptop but that doesn't seem to help. I've tried downloading the driver for the same adapter through the hp website onto a USB then putting that onto my laptop but that doesn't help either. The same goes for deleting then reinstalling from the HP Recovery Manager. The network reset option doesn't help either. All the other devices I have can connect to my wifi just fine, but my laptop will either not connect to any networks at all, show me available networks but not be able to connect to any of them, or connect but have the little caution triangle by the wifi symbol then disconnect in a minute. I'm on windows 10 on an HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC, help would be appreciated, thanks!
