I have an older laptop that I have installed Windows 10 on. I have an child account set up for my son and he uses it from time to time. I am thinking of installing Windows 7 ( the os the laptop came with) back on it. Will the logging and reporting be much different when I set up his account again on windows 7? Thanks
Hi, I am trying to RDP into a tablet using another tablet. The touch screen seems to work, however it acts as a mouse rather than multi gesture touch screen. As an example, when I want to scroll on something instead of using two fingers I have to use the scroll bar as you would with an actual mouse. Is there a way of forcing/re directing the multi gesture touchscreen to the tablet the is controlling the other tablet? Timo

I have a Acer Aspire es1 111m laptop (E11). Just a heads up im not a laptop person (my knowledge in it is pretty low). I wanted to install win10 but had no space as it required 10gb of space so i backed up my files on my Usb and reset it. Completely fresh i quickly went through the steps & downloaded win media creation tool and installed windows 10. I used the recommended options and clicked install now rather for another pc and used my other usb (16gb) to run the installation. I had problems first mins as it would stop at 15% and search for updates but i looked it up and i found how to fix using cmd. I finished the installment and it said itll restart several times. After hours it is still on the boot up acer screen, i turned it off and on and it sent me to the auto repair. Now, i noticed my touchpad is not working?!! With no mouse i am now stuck however, looked it up once again how to navigate without it, (up, down, ent, tab etc.) i instantly regreted updating so i tried to reset but it kept saying failure, fyi i plugged in the charging cable and everything. After i decided the option 'keep my files' to where i face another problem! 'Defualtuser0 and Defualtuser1' i thought it was my account but just not renamed yet so i entered my password but to no avail. Tried my pass on both and even press caps locks incase i clicked it on accident. So again i looked up the problem, one method was to use cmd prompt, seemed easy but to use it i need to choose those accounts to continue, now im completely stuck! Is there a way to make my account administrator? somehow someway online as it kind off refers something like that when i click the "forgotten password or cant.." or am i wrong. With more hours of surfing through the web for a solution i found a something i was for sure would work, safe mode as it doesnt require an account to so i can enable it however, when i pressed safe mode (F4 or 4) it will just stay on the acer boot-up screen. I am completely out of options and dont know what to do, is my laptop
I am having the exact same problem. The error code being given is 1719, we're tried all the recommendations, short of reinstalling Windows 10. We too are unable to switch from MANUAL to AUTOMATIC. Please provide more information to help you better: Which version of Office are you working on? Windows 10 Home, Version 1607, OS BUILD 14393.693 Product ID 00326-10000-00000-AA756 Did you make any recent changes on the computer prior to the issue? This occurred AFTER I woke the computer from SLEEP but had to RESTART IT Do you experience similar issue with other Office applications as well? ALL Microsoft Office Applications, Mozilla Firefox Browser, Adobe Acrobat 8 and Adobe Reader, Photoshop 5, Norton Disk Doctor, will not start/open and we get First the "windows installer" window, with the icon and "Preparing to Install" Then the message changes to "Please wait while windows configures Microsoft Office Standard 2010" Next we get a Microsoft Office Standard 2010 window with: "Error 1719. The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance." And last is the dreaded "Problem with shortcut" "Fatal error during installation" Since we are our own support, we're lost at this point.
I needed to do a Windows 10 refresh and reinstalled Office 2013 and after that the Ctrl+V shortcut did not work in Word. It was working in Notepad and also in Excel. The other Edit shortcuts (Ctrl+C, etc.) were working without any problems. Alt+Ctrl+v works. I checked that this keyboard shortcut exists in the "Customize Ribbon" options. [The Shift + Insert shortcut also did not work for EditPaste] I made sure that the keyboard layout is English US. Eventually I discovered that the keyboard paste command is not assigned to EditPaste - it is assigned to a command called EditPaste2, which can be found under "All Commands", not under the "Home" tab. Is there a way of resetting this to the EditPaste command, so that things can be kept where they belong?
