Hi,

Desktop.ini is a system file which deals with common folders such as Downloads, Documents, Pictures, and Music etc. When a change is made in these folders, Desktop.ini is updated.

I would suggest you to try these steps and check if it helps.

a. Press windows key + E.

b. Click on view on the top of the screen.

c. Once you click on view, choose options.

d. Click on change folder and search options.

e. Click the View tab.

f. Check 'Hide Protected Operating System Files'.

Hope this information helps. Reply to the post with updated status of the issue to assist you further.
