when i try to create adhoc in window 8, it gets set  up but doesnt start. it shows: t shows: The hosted network couldn't be started. The group or resouce is not in the correct state to perform the requested opera tion. what should i do?

Hi,

 

It is not possible to create an adhoc network in Windows 8, although you can join one, if it is in range. It is not possible to join an adhoc network in Windows RT.

 

However, if you need to create an adhoc network, I suggest you to use your favorite search engine and search for a third party tool or program, which can do the job correctly.
