Windows 10 spotlight login screens

Windows RT

I have some feedback regarding the Windows 10 spotlight login screens. They are beautiful images, but sometimes they are spoiled by a lack of attention to detail. For example: * I recently had one image of a winter scene, and a little advertisement for winter movies. I live in Sydney, and it's the middle of summer. * Recently there was a beautiful image of Mount Wellington in Tasmania, and some text saying that it is 4614 feet high. In Australia, we use the metric system. Would you be able to take into account the region of the user, so as to localise things like season and units of measure, please? (And spelling: "localise", not "localize"!) Thanks!

Windows could not configure one or more system components To install Windows, restart the computer and then restart the installation

Windows RT

I'm currently on Windows 10 1511. Recently I have been trying to update to Windows 1607 Anniversary Update but to no avail. Previously tried Windows 10 Updater and used Microsoft Update troubleshooting tool but failed. Also tried using an .iso file but same problem happens. Also tried all sources online such as /sfc and /dism commands. When the update reaches 40%, it shows "Windows could not configure one or more system components To install Windows, restart the computer and then restart the installation". Have tried cutting down on old drivers and installs but same problem keeps on happening. Have tried over 10 times updating my laptop. I'm getting tired of being unable to update Windows 10 properly as all online solutions haven't worked at all. I don't want to resort to resetting Windows 10 and clearing away all files. Is there any way of solving this?

The All Management Servers Pool has not reported availability error in System Center Operations Manager 2016

Windows RT

After few months of successful upgrade to System Center Operations Manager 2016 I see "The All Management Servers Pool has not reported availability" error in the Active Alerts. Health status in Monitoring > Operations Manager> Manage Group Health shows as gray. No email notifications or active alerts are working now. Tried all possible solutions mentioned in various TechNet and Microsoft support sites but none helped. Please advise a solution. Environment: One management server (SCOM 2016) running on Server 2012 R2, SQL 2012 SP3 on the same server, 48 clients all are agentless. Steps already tried: 1. Updated registry entry based on https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/germanageability/2016/02/26/common-scom-server-myths-tweaking-resource-poolmanager-registry-keys/ Rebooted and waited for few hours but the error still persist. 2. Restarted Management Server Data Access Service and Configuration Service. Updated Run as service account password. Increased Operations Manager and DW database size, now more than 50% is free. Checked resource monitor Memory, CPU, Disk utilization all seems to be normal. Thanks, Gabriel

Unable to create OU name under the Domain forest

Windows RT

I am using Server 2012 R2 and having this issue for some time now. I am trying to create an OU under my organization but it pops up a message and says that "windows cannot create the object Front Office because: an attempt was made to add an object to the directory with the name that is already in use" but when i checked the OU there is no folder or OU under that name. Please help me to fix the issue if someone has got the same issue. I have checked the replication but there is no issue found with other forest domains. Thank you,
