I have a New Seagate Barracuda Drive to replace a WD Green drive from a few years ago. I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Pro a while back so I got a digital Product Key. I just have a few concerns about the swap. First, How do I install windows on the new drive (I want a clean install in case the issue is caused by a virus or some sort of data corruption)? Secondly, Once I get it installed, my Product Key is only 20 digits. Do I have to contact Microsoft to get the other 5 or will the 20 digit code work? Additional information: I have tried doing a repair on my current install and the HDD but it fails every time. Once programs starting failing to load, I decided I had better replace the drive.
Recently someone completely reset my laptop (currently running Windows 10) without my permission and had access to the Windows Recovery Environment from the Start screen. So, I was wondering if it was possible to add some sort of security measures onto the WinRE if possible preventing anyone else from wiping my laptop. Any ideas?
So, I tried resetting my PC, because it was overflowing with viruses, I tried to, but in the middle of it resetting, it said something along these lines, "There was a problem resetting your PC, no changes were made." Please help. I have went to my local stores to see if they offer a USB or Disk, but unfortunately, no. Can I please get help? As I need to get back to recording A.S.A.P. THANKS!
There is this government watchdog that is hacking my computer for quite some time now. I was wondering if this is legal and possible in United States. I am unable to do anything on the computer that I want to do because my network becomes slower. Is there anyway they can do this and can this be stopped?
hello.6 but very very computer illiterate. I have a lot, and I mean a lot of favorites that I have entered. I want to call one up to read it when I have the time. Not knowing for sure, I split some up and put some in folder 2,3, and 4, and one that just says pictures. I went into the star, which is favorites, typed in search box the one I was looking for that I had saved two weeks ago, and its not in the main one that shows up, but I figured I put it into either folder 2,3, or 4. now, I cannot figure out how to open them up, cant even find them. how do I do that please?

Hi, I have a lot of PC's in the field running Windows 2000, and users are shutting down the PC by removing power. We've tried telling them to press Start > Shutdown, but they don't listen. This has been causing corruptions on the hard drive, which means we have to send out field technicians, up the USB CD drive, running the recovery console, etc. I would like to have the hard drive's dirty bit set when the PC first turns on, forcing a checkdisk when the PC powers on next. I've found that this fixes the corruption. I have found that running chkdsk C: /r works slightly different to having the dirty bit set, and won't fix the corruption. Any help you have would be appreciated!

I have been to the following link and checked all the following steps: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/social/troubleshoot-game-dvr-windows-10#7b01dd01950d492aa6a353d958d63735 Sometimes, a recording doesn't end correctly. When that happens, you'll need to restart Game DVR to fix the problem: Close the game.In the search box on the Windows taskbar, enter Task manager, and then select that desktop app.In Task Manager, select More details. In the list of running processes, select the Broadcast DVR server (bcastdvr.exe) process (if it's still there), and then select End task.Restart the game and try recording again. But there's a problem. The steps never state what to do if I can't find the Broadcast DVR Server. I need help. Please respond asap! Thank you! <3
