Hi, I have a sound problem with my home built pc, running windows 10.My pc cant see my speakers, I have tried everything, including ,a system restore, re install, windows updates, windows trouble shooter, bios update. Checked my motherboard manufacturers website for latest drivers, none listed for windows 10!! (motherboard is a N68-VGS3FX). Opened direct x diagnostics and clicked on sound tab, its telling me that there's no sound card installed!! I also have a code 43 error on a USB in device manager, cant seem to solve this problem either!! So, does this indicate that my sound card is fried? or is it a simple driver issue? All these issues seemed to start after I installed a windows update in Dec 16!!! Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Keith.
I foolishly did a recovery, and now I have a completely new screen, something about "windows edge" and I can no longer navigate anything. I would dearly love to have my Windows 7 back, and have thought seriously of buying a new computer with Windows 7 loaded on it. Can anyone help me?
Just bought new Windows 10 desktop for home use. Cannot seem to do anything without creating a Microsoft Account. Entered my details and was told to enter verification code sent to the account email address that I had entered. Email did not arrive Hit 'Resend' and still it did not arrive. Checked SPAM folders and it's not there either. When I try to sign in to my Microsoft Account I can enter user name and password but then a message appears telling me that an email has been sent with my verification code, which I cannot enter as the email never arrives. Tried support but you have to have a Microsoft Account to get that. I am going round in circles.
I can cast YouTube videos to my Sony BluRay Player from Chrome but not from Edge. I see the player in devices and from what I can tell, I have all the settings right. I don't know much about this stuff. What is required to cast from Edge to a device. My bluray player is Sony BluRay Player Amazon if it helps.
I already made saved a movie I made in Windows Movie Maker onto my computer. It is 14 GB but only 93 minutes. Before I buy the DVD Maker I want to make sure it can split my movie into 2 parts for 2 dvds. I tried the trail version but couldn't tell if it was saving in two parts. If you have the answer let me know! thanks. Katie
I have over 10,000 .SVG files and .PNG files on my computer. In the last few weeks, I have not been able to open a .PNG file with any of my picture software and have been slowly converting all of them to .JPG as a work-around, but now I have discovered that several of my .SVG files will not open with my design software called eCAL that I have been using for years. These are files that I was able to open in the past and work with in my eCAL software design program, but now they will not open at all. Not all of them, but about a 3rd of the .SVG files will not open. I'm assuming that whatever is preventing me from opening .PNG files is related to a lot of my .SVG files being "un-openable." ANY IDEAS?
I'm looking to download the "Lenovo Settings" app for my Lenovo laptop from the Windows Store in order to adjust my battery charging threshold. I was foolish to think I'll never use it so I had it uninstalled before. Fortunately for me, the only place I can download this app again is from the Windows Store, and I've been trying since yesterday to download it but the download either fails, or gets stuck on pending or downloading. I tried several solutions I found online, from resetting my cache, restarting my laptop, running the windows update troubleshooter with Admin privileges, changing the time and date manually then resetting them to the correct dates, uninstalling and reinstalling the Windows Store through Windows Powershell, signing out and signing in again, but every single one of them failed to solve my problem. But hey, if you guys were looking to dissuade me away from ever touching your store, then you won. Because after this pathetic regrettable experience, god forbid if I'll touch that garbage again.
