How can I find my laptop PC's IP address?  I have Windows 7 OS

That depends on what IP you're looking for (or why).

If your laptop is connected to a router -- which is almost always the case -- you will have a local IP address assigned by the router.  This will be in one of the following ranges: - - -

Most home routers will assign IP addresses of the form 192.168.0.x or 192.168.1.x, where x is between 2 and 254 (1 is usually the router itself and 255 is reserved for "broadcast" messages).

To find out your local IP address, open a Command Prompt (click Start Orb, type cmd, press Enter) and type the following in the black Command Prompt window

and press Enter

You'll see something like this:

However, if you want to see the IP address that the rest of the Internet uses to reach you, open any web browser and go to a site such as:  https://www.whatismyip.com/

This is the IP address assigned to your connection (most likely your router) by your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
