Wifi adapter has to be reset

Windows RT 8.1

Asked by: gtspeck

Every time I start or reboot my computer I have to run the "trouble shoot" option to connect to WIFI.

I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Prior to the upgrade it was working fine.

I have re-installed drivers, I renewed the connection. Issue still exists.

Once connected I'm fine. no drops, and internet is fast.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop model P205-S6347.

The Ethernet connection is working fine. No I'm not running them at the same time.

**Please note: I was running Toshiba Configfree prior to updating to 10. The update deleted it. Did try to re-install it but tells me it can't find Toshiba Configfree.msi. This file is not on my computer so I assume the upgrade deleted it or it is not compatiable.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi GTSPeck,

Sorry about that. If you are connected to a Home Network you need not worry about changing the setting to "Full Trust". All the network traffic that your computer receives from a Trusted network is filtered and allowed through firewall. However, known attacks and infections are still monitored. You should select this setting only when you are sure that the network is completely safe. Let me know if you need any help.
