Hi All Until a couple of months ago, when using the Cortana voice command "Time to Home" or "Time to Work", Coratana would reply with how many kilometres it was to either work or home and an approx time of how long it would take to get there. Now when issuing the same command, Cortana does a useless web search about the best time to buy a home or gives me a web result from Wikipedia about working hours. How do I change Cortana's behaviour back to give me the correct response of time / distance to work / home. Thanks Michael
I have purchased Lenovo Laptop from Croma in Jan 2014. It had Windows 7 licence version. I gave it to my cousin for his project few months ago, by mistake he formatted the system and i have lost Windows 7 licence version now. I have not collected the Windows CD or Product Key when i bought this laptop. Is there a way to recover the product key ? I have paid extra 7k for Windows while buying the laptop. Thank you Chetan Kumar
My desktop PC sometimes does not come up some mornings when we log on the first thing each day. Sometimes the APC will lockup and you cannot close any programs, Internet, email, etc. When this happens it may take 2, 3 or more attempts to cold boot to start the P.

Same problem since 2012 - 4 years later yet to see an update that I can locate (45 entries for this fault alone) that fixes the fault - now it's 2016 and we are using Windows 10. The solution I found is to use Windows 7 backup which is available in Windows 10, it actually works flawlessly. I would use this workaround rather than waiting for Microsoft to create an update in the near future. Until then I am sure this will keep going back and forth in the user community until Microsoft can isolate the fault, come up with a solution, test, verify and finally release an update - which may or may not work.

I unearthed an old computer (Gateway) with a Windows 7 operating system on it. I plan on giving the computer to my teenage daughter to use for HW. I cannot, for the life of me, remember the password; even with the password hint displayed. What can I do to get this locked computer back into operation mode. I would prefer not to have to pay for software, advertised all over the net. Thank you all in advance for your help. Roger

Hi Community of Experts, I have multiple computers that share the same monitor and keyboard through a switch. My issue is that when I am using computer A, sometimes the graphics resolution on computer B changes. I can go into setup and detect to change it back, but this is a real pain. Is there a way to stop this "resolution check/change" from happening, or is there a way to set the default resolution so that it does not happen? Any insight to resolving this issue is appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help. Regards Jeff
I have been on Windows 10 Pro for about a year, but believe I got a rootkit or virus. I started by updating my bios which was the beginning of my problems because it rendered my C: drive unbootable. I bought a new hard drive and tried to install Windows 10 again, but it wouldn't install. It got stuck on "Select Drivers", but I didn't have any additional drivers but the NEXT button was disabled, so there was no way to continue. I have repair disks, boot disks, I've tried flashing my BIOS, but nothing works. Microsoft has made my awesome Developer Workstation useless. I contact ASUS to see if there is a way to reset my BIOS and nothing worked. They said I could return the motherboard to get it re-flashed but it would take 2 weeks. I don't have that time! I've been trying to fix this for 4 days now and don't know what to do. I went through the process of re-imaging (Windows 7 restore included in Windows 10) my c: drive because I backed it up before I stated this process. Last night it went through the entire restore process (which I've used twice to recover successfully in the past) and it complete 100%, but then would never reboot again. I just get a black screen I can't get a command promptI can't it to read or install anything from the CD/DVD ROM driveI can't get it to recover from my recover diskI can't get it to upgrade The can get into the bios if I short it out with screwdriver, but it never saves my settings. What am I supposed to do other than buy a new motherboard? This really sucks and I can't work without my PC. Need Help badly!
