Hi Every time I startup my computer this website opens up in my Firefox Browser: http://12kotov.ru/?utm_source=uoua03&utm_content=3f5ac389090854fdc20d4928cb8b84b3&utm_term=0A266F8763B44718611736F23249DBE7&utm_d=20161219 It isn't my country or homepage or even language. I do not know where it came from and I have tried just about everything I can which is mentioned on websites to help. It isn't a virus or Trojan, it does not show up in any start up programs or in any programs list. It does not show up anywhere else. It just opens on startup and does not open again when closed till system is restarted. It doesn't seem to cause any problems or issues with my system, but is just "kak" irritating me to have to see it each time I start up my system. Please if anyone has a suggestion I would appreciate it. Thanks. SeanM1971

Hi all I am having an issue with my Windows 10 Lenovo laptop. The laptop in question didn't come with windows 10, but was a free upgrade so I did it. Even after I upgraded to Windows 10 I was still able to play dvds..its seems that just overnight a few months ago I was no longer able to. When I put a dvd into the disk drive, it reads the disk and shows up under the DVD RW drive..with the name of what movie is in etc...but when I try and open it with Windows media player I get a message about the codec..i have tried opening it with PowerDvD and I get a message saying the file is not supported, along with when I open it with VLC media, it also says the file is not supported. Although I am having these problems I can still play movies that are already on my computer, there no problem there, just movies inserted into my dvd drive I am unable to play whatsoever and I have no idea why..please help
My windows 10 1TB hard drive displays 732gb in my others folder of which only about 20gb is shown in the subfolders so about 700GB is just missing. As a result of this my hard drive light is nearly always on. There is no backup on and any restore points have been deleted. I have tried to reset the computer (but kept personal files) which made no difference. Any suggestions?
Hello, I've had some problems with a friends's pc yesterday, it turned out it was full of viruses andch even Kaspersky nor Windows Defender managed to remove them, so I decided giving a system restore a try, I started it and went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, the computer said something about a request of changing the TPM and I could either say yes and let it clear it all, or press back and leave it as it was. I chose to clear it and now it's reinstalling windows, do you think I made a mess? I made sure he didn't have anything encrypted on the pc before giving the ok. Thanks in advance!
I took the free upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. I have some protected Excel spreadsheets. Since upgrading when I try to open my spreadsheets I get the message that I don't have the credentials to open the spreadsheet. The link to get a trial version to open the spreadsheet no longer exists. What can I do to get into my Excel Spreadsheets? These are extensive programs that I need to get into. Does anyone know how I can circumvent this problem?
I just tried downloading Windows 10 through assistive technologies, it pretty much completed the download but then this popped up. I just don't know what to do, I've tried googling many different things but nothing pops up with that specific error code, thank you in advance.
I have installed Windows 10 Professional (64bit) on a new computer. The Japanese IME is installed and appears correctly in the task bar notifications area. The input method menu appears (to choose between, Hiragana, Katakana, etc.) but I cannot select any of the options on the menu. When I click for the Hiragana option, nothing happens, and the input method stays on Romaji (or the default English letters). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the IME. I've even installed Japanese as a system language, but nothing is working.
Hi, My Win10 desktop > Personalize > Backround setting does not allow changing to Picture or SlideShow. When I select either one, it reverts to "Solid color" option, and only allows me to select a solid color. I have checked ease of access and the desktop restrictions there are not applied, I have also renamed the Transcoded wallpaper file in appdata/roaming/microsoft/windows/themes to _old which was suggested as a solution in one post. Have restarted laptop but no effect. I suspect I have hit a key while my laptop was docked since I faintly remember the desktop turning black. What could have changed so that only solid colors are allowed as desktop background theme? And yes, it's a business laptop with official windows license. Thanks for any help.
