Windows defender on windows 10 enterprise won`t turn on. This happened shortly after i updated it; when I try to turn it on it says: This app has been turned off and it isn't monitoring your computer. And right underneath it, it says: If you are using another app for malicious and unwanted software use Security and Maintenance to check that app`s status. Need for a response ASAP, thanks :)
Hi everyone, I am having real difficulty saving my movie maker project before I burn it to DVD. It gets approx 13% through the save each time & then says that there are missing or unusable files in the project. All of the files I have used are saved on both my computer & external hard drive. Is is there a way of writing it to DVD without doing this process? Or can anyone help with this at all? Many thanks Mat
Hello, I recently purchased a brand new Lenovo 80UD laptop and the sound quality is horrible for its Conexant SmartAudio HD speakers. I checked to see if there were any enhancements to help with the sound, but there are none! It only has a check box that says "Disable all sound effects" (as displayed in the picture) Is there anyway I can get the enhancement feature for this? I really do not want to resort to uninstalling the default speaker.
Recently had problems with windows 10 update and ended up restoring to a previous point. Since that time I can not use the window store app. As soon as you type in search box it shuts down. I originally discovered that since MS solitaire collection would not work (error code 104_107_1) I attempted to clear the store cache by running wsreset.exe. Doing further diagnostic I received the message "windows store cache may be damaged" and it was not fixed. Can this be repaired and how?
I tried to do a "clean install" as recommended as the answer to my original question. I followed the recommendations in the "Clean Install Windows 10" which was indicated as part of the answer to my question. First I down loaded the Media Creation Tool, and used it to download Windows 10 ISO and burn it to a DVD. Then I tried to follow the instructions for a clean install. However, since the Windows 10 ISO had no autorun inf., it would not start up, even after I changed to bios to make the DVD drive as the first bootable drive. I then ran the setup.exe on the dvd, but I never saw any screens like those shown in the recommendations. No partition screens ever appeared. I was given the choices of keeping programs and files, keeping just files or getting rid of everything. I tried all three alternatives. None of them worked. I got to about 4% into the update and it would fail with a white window that said "windows 10 update failed". What do I do now? My system as an Intel I7 CPU and 16GB RAM, and the hard drive has plenty of room. So what is the reason I cannot update Windows 10?
Yesterday I was playing a game on my computer (custom build) and the monitor that my game was on (I have 2) turned maroon and the other monitor was maroon with white lines and the sound glitched out. I tried using system restore to 3 days ago (windows critical update) 7 days ago( Microsoft visual studio uninstall) and about 3 weeks ago (directX install for payday2) and none of them worked, but when I did the 3 weeks ago one, it gave me an error saying the restore point couldn't be found. I've tried going into safe mode, but it won't let me open the msi disk for my graphics drivers, or the update installer. I have tried resetting with my personal files saved, but it won't work and when I go check on it the screen is black. Is there anything I can do without completely resetting my computer? I have a lot of files and games that will take a long time to reinstall. Thanks :)
I was trying to use halo waypoint, and was required to sign in with my microsoft account. I did this, and it took me to a page that asked for my parent email, as i'm 17. I put in my mom's email, which is a gmail account because i thought it would work. It then took me to another page that asked for the password to the account, but the problem is that it thinks her gmail account is a microsoft account. So now i can't access my Xbox account online without a Microsoft sign in page with a locked-in gmail account already present. Also, as far as i can tell there's no way to change the account associated without first signing in. TL;DR- My Xbox account requires me to sign in with a nonexistent parent account and won't let me change the parent email.
I have removed OneDrive from my computer as it was causing storage locations issues and I didn't like it. Now I want to remap the "documents" folder under "this PC" to my user document folder, but don't have the option to change the folder location. How do I do this in Windows 10?
For some reason suddently i cannot restart my pc normaly. The only way i have to go into windows is by disable driver signature enforcement on recovery options. I tried to do: sfc /scannow Result: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windirLogsCBSCBS.log. For example C:WindowsLogsCBSCBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios. the log didnt help much I also tried to do DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Error: 0x800f081f The source files could not be found. Use the "Source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature. For more information on specifying a source location, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=243077. what can i do? please help
I seem to have caused my own prblem, but I don`t know how! I scanned a schedule in to my computer (windows 7) and the image now appears superimposed on my start up page. (That`s the one with all the icons of browsers and documents and other short cuts. Any ideas on how to get rid of it please?
I just bought a Lenovo yoga 710 and after turning it on for the first time, the speaker icon has a red x on it. I have already gone to device manager and clicked on Sound, video and game controllers. All of the devices under this tab say that the hardware device is not connected and that they need to be reconnected. What I wanted to know is how do I reconnect the devices back? Do I have to uninstall the devices or update the diver software in order to reconnect them?
So this is something new to me, "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart, we're just gathering some error info...." and then there it says "Stop Code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and underneath that it said "What failed: WDF01000.sys" I have no idea what this means and it has happened multiple times already. It usually happens when i'm using the program ABLETON LIVE (music production program) and or when I connect the external devices (keyboard, launchpad) to my laptop via USB. I reinstalled the program and it still happens, the program is the one the equipment brought and I need it. I don't know what causes this, I already cleaned and backed up everything to an external drive. I have a Dell Inspiron 13-7359 Signature edition with 8GB of ram and 256 SSD. I kindly appreciate any help or comment
I recently purchased a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 64 bit. The sound was working for several days and then has stopped. It says "No Audio Output Device is installed. I went to Device Manager and right clicked on NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (wave extensible) (WDM). I then scanned for hardware changes. It says that I have the most up to date hardware. I also double clicked on the speaker in the bottom right hand corner of the desktop. It scanned and told me to restart to fix the problem. Did that but to no avail. Googled issue and it told me to uninstall my audio device (NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device) and then restart computer. It still did not work. Now I no longer have the NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device and my sound doesn't work. I have tried to reinstall the NVIDIA Audio Device but I must have done it incorrectly as it's not there. Any help would be appreciated!!!!
I have recently purchased a Numark Mixtrack 3, but everytime it's in use my audio doesn't work. I have deduced that the problem is that Windows recognizes the Device as an Audio Output device instead of a MIDI Controller. Is there anyway for me to change the way Windows recognizes the device?
