I have a few Xboxs and I wanted to make one of them the home one for my main account.it wouldn't let me saying I had already done it three times already, meaning I can't log in on my Xbox. How can I go about fixing it? Moved from Community Participation Center
I got the free Win 10 upgrade during the allowed time, and I didn't realize until Friday that the 32 bit version had been installed and not the 64 bit. I have hardware requiring the 64 bit version, and I have a 64 bit processor. Where and how do I install the 64 bit version? This was originally a Windows Vista machine. Thank you
Bluetooth was working fine yesterday- this morning when I turned on my laptop (asus with built in bluetooth adapter) the bluetooth button in the action center was showing but it would not turn on when I clicked on it- went to settings and when I tried to switch bluetooth from off to on, it would not let me. I restarted my computer and bluetooth button in the action center disappeared along with the one in settings. Went to device manager and bluetooth only showed up when I clicked "show hidden devices" where everything under bluetooth was shaded gray. I did a system restore- still did not work. Uninstalled the bluetooth driver from device manager and tried to reinstall a new driver from intel website and it still did not work- it didn't even show up in device manager. Please help- I use bluetooth for my headphones since headphones don't work when i plug it into my laptop...
Now and then I come across a picture on the TV that I'd like to capture. My TV doesn't have a screen capture facility but it can record to USB stick. The trouble is it converts the stick to VFAT, an out of date format. When I then put the USB into the computer, the computer doesn't recognise it and I can do nothing with it. I'm using Win 7, 32-bit. Anyone have any ideas?
I just bought a Lenovo computer when it asked that I download a Windows update the result was 90% download then a black screen with the cursor active. I let the battery run out and when I was able to start the computer it gave a message about scanning and repairing one of the drives. After that was complete I was able to get online but noticed that the speaker icon had a red X over it. When I clicked on it the computer had a green bar that ran across indicating it was working on the issue, then a box appeared that said it could not fix the problem. I do not know what to do and do not understand why I am having these problems with a brand new computer. Please advise, if you can.
I have tried several time to change my home page to a specific website, but every time I click the home button, it still takes me to MSN.com. Please do not answer with the rudimentary steps in "settings" in Edge, I have done that already as well as changed my internet options in the control panel and neither one has worked.
I use a wired Ethernet connection at home but am forced to use WiFi while traveling. I was staying in a motel in Orange County, California. I had gone to bed and had left the laptop in sleep mode with WiFi enabled. About 6:00 in the morning, I heard sounds like data being sent over a modem from outside my door. My laptop beeped a couple of times and I could see the hard drive was running. There was a woman standing outside with a shoulder bag who acted as though she was waiting for somebody. Questions: Is this a common form of hacking? Could she put malware on my computer or was she trying to copy files from my computer? I think I am safe if it is the latter because I don't save passwords on my computer and I don't have important files loaded on it. Thanks for any insights.
I have a JVC Digital Video Recorder, Model #GR-D270U and I am using a Fire Wire to USB 2.0 cable. Every time I attach the cable to my Windows 10 PC I get the following error message..."USB device not recognized. What can I do to get it to recognize this old device? All I want to do is to record the digital tapes onto my hard drive so I can rip them on DVD's. They are 11 years old and they have precious memories of my kids recorded on them.
