New machine Windows 10 Pro The Context Menu opens by itself when using a browser, I usually Firefox Developer Edition but it happens in Edge too so its not browser related. Extremely annoying. Did a lot of web search but no solution. Is there a way to stop this?
I just started having this problems as well. With my email, some financial accounts, etc.,. I did find this article about changes by Chrome in 2017. Additionally I read something about my LAN and Wifi Router needing to be reset. I am not a WHIZ KID and don't quite follow how to insure SSL _________________________ What does it all mean. What am I to do? Should I reload Chrome? https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2016/10/avoid-not-secure-warn As announced in September, Chrome will soon mark non-secure pages containing password and credit card input fields as Not Secure in the URL bar. This document is intended to aid Web Developers in updating their sites to avoid this warning. Enable warnings Warnings will be enabled by default for everyone in Chrome 56, slated for release in January 2017. To test the upcoming user experience before that time, install the latest Google Chrome Canary build. To configure Chrome to show the warning as it will appear in January 2017, open chrome://flags/#mark-non-secure-as and set the Mark non-secure origins as non-secure option to Display a verbose state when password or credit card fields are detected on an HTTP page. Then relaunch your browser. You can see an example of the browser’s warning behavior on this page. When the Not Secure state is shown, the DevTools console shows the message This page includes a password or credit card input in a non-secure context. A warning has been added to the URL bar.
When I restart my PC the screensaver works perfectly well, and continues to do so if I open my browser (Firefox). However, as soon as I open an Office application - Outlook email, Word or Excel - the screensaver does not work at all - even if I close all applications. It only starts working again when I restart the PC. It there a setting somewhere in Office which controls this? The screensaver is set up correctly in Settings / Lock screen etc, and as stated, the screensaver is fine until MS Office is started.
Hi, I've recently reinstalled XP Professional on one of my old PC'S and I'm experiencing an issue with Windows Update. (I'm running SP2.) Whenever I try to access it I receive an error, 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage'. I'd like to download all the recommended software and security updates that were available for XP prior to the OS being discontinued. I need to ensure that my system is protected as much as possible. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks! :) Kind Regards, Troy

So my first question is, how does the techs responsible for putting out the updates manage to get out of bed everyday. Cause if they can't put out a simple update without having computers crash, then how in the world do they function in the real world. So for the at least 4th time the wonderful latest batch of updates, that was rammed down my throat has crashed my computer. Getting the wonderful BSOD. It says its a security kernal failure AGAIN!! So how long until they release a patch to fix this one. Cause I'm about to start sending them a bill for my lost revenue. Due to my computer keeps crashing.
I have a photo in Paint that I want to set as my desktop wallpaper ( Windows 10, & also need to know how to check for driver updates ). I'm pretty inept w/a pc, but love the fact that there is such a thing now called the Internet. Anyway, I did manage to resize the photo, and it appears that it is very close to desktop size. I want to know how to get the photos changed on my desktop, please.
can someone from Microsoft please help, running windows 10 on dell computer, the computer did not come with a rescue disc or restore to factory, I will need to download and install but this asp.net machine account won't let me change, install or uninstall anything, not even from an external drive. It is asking for a password I never had, it replaced me as administrator so I no longer have permission to do anything. Please if someone can help I have been searching for a solution for several days now. Everywhere I search says it was downloaded when an update .net framework 1.1 was installed and if I uninstalled that and reinstall it the problem would be fixed but I no longer have permission to uninstall or reinstall anything.
I just got a new lenovo that came with Windows 10. I have had it for two days and downloaded all previous files from my microsoft account. Now I have a message asking if I would like to delete my old windows to free up space. Is this something that I should do? Why would I even have an old version of windows if the computer came with windows 10?
I used windows explorer under windows 10's advanced search feature to search for a files containing text such as "Jerry" in a folder. Explorer cannot find it, but if I use another powerful text editor, it found it for me. I suppose it is a bug in Windows?
