Hi, For some reason, when I insert my USB memory card reader (with TF SD card inserted) into Windows 10, I cannot see Hidden files at all! I need to move data from old to new card, and on Android all folders like DCIM are "hidden". Of course, I have tried to check hidden files option in View -> menu, but it just "blinks" on the screen and nothing happens. When I insert the same USB card reader in older Windows XP computer and select to see hidden files, everything is shown and I can access pictures, files, etc... This is a serious bug in Windows 10 Explorer! I have checked with some 3rd party "explorer" apps replacements, and they also list all the hidden content properly from the usb flash drive/reader. I had to use 3rd party explorer (JustManager) to copy my data. P.S. Of course, computer is not infected and show hidden files works perfectly on local drives, but not in networked & USB reader.
My pc had a problem of 100% disk i had contacted with Microsoft technician. She solved that issue but after restarting my screen of my pc was zoomed in and i could not use wifi and my pc had gone to afe mode and I could not many features of my PC

I run a Linux PC for almost all of my work. Wanting access to some Windows apps that don't run under Wine I bought a Win 8.1 Pro licence and installed it on that Linux PC under Oracle's Virtualbox. This install then got upgraded to Win 10 with the 3V66T key. I have since acquired a PC from a friend - it was stuck with Win7 in an update loop and wouldn't boot either in normal or safe mode so I wiped it, downloaded a Win10 image and tried to install. The 3V66T key allowed me to install but not activate. Is there any way I can activate the real hardware version of PC and delete the no longer used Virtualbox image? I sign in to both with the same Microsoft Account ID. Can I even re-use the Win 8.1 Pro licence - i.e. wipe the real PC, install and activate 8.1 and then delete the Virtualbox image on my Linux PC? I suppose that is better than nothing but it would be nice to be able to move Win 10 licence.
Does Microsoft keep info on old win 7 product keys and if so how do i get my key back? I have had win 10 for ages i have had to clean install it several times to try to fix it. but i am now done with all the crashes and freezing. i want windows 7 back.
This must be a bug because it doesn't make sense: I had to reinstall Windows but when I put in the data backup SD card, having change the ownership and given full control to all the files I still can't delete/move files from the drive even though I am a member of Administrators group. I have checked security settings for the folder and it does show that Administrators group have full control. The folder shows up as readonly but when I try to disable the readonly flag the system goes through all the files in the folder and the sub folders (takes ages everytime). Then when I close the properties and reopen it, it is readonly again. The only way that I have so far managed to do anything is by assigning full control to my login name (member of Administrators) specifically and even then there are inconsistencies that I can't account for. What is going on? And could you let me know if there is quicker way of editing securities on huge folders. There needs to be a quicker way.
When I turned on my computer (Windows 10), the wi-fi wasn't working. Then I went to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections and pressed the wi-fi icon. A tab popped up telling me that it was enabled, and disappeared quickly, but the icon still said 'disabled', and wi-fi still did not work. I tried this a few more times but the same result shows up. Then I activated WLAN Auto Config, and I went back onto the Network Connections panel, but the wi-fi icon had disappeared. Please help!
Split from this thread. I have downloaded this game 5 times. The word ticked off is an understatement! I do not have unlimited internet or unlimited speeds since I live out in a rural area. Every other game out there besides BF1 is nothing like this in terms of size. Shame on Microsoft for not knowing how to compress files or doing a better job. To say I feel I should get some free upgrades is an understatement, and I am not talking about some 2.99 upgrades, I am talking some VIP upgrades. It is VERY easy to look up and verify that I am having constant issues. I had it downloaded at 38 GB last week, I went back in and poof disappeared. I am sick of it. I have downloaded a plethora of games and never one issue. Maybe Microsoft can do the right thing and mail me a flash drive with the game files on it, and I will even pay for shipping which they should include also with a big I am so sorry we do not have competent engineers. And you can think I am over the top. Twice I drove to a friends house with faster internet to even download this game 40 miles away from my house, and still the same problem. Then 3 times I have downloaded it on my Satellite internet, all I am asking for is a little help here! I expect your cooperation in this matter, Larry ***********.**** ***Post split by the moderator to another thread.***
Hello, I need to save a backup copy (for security audit) of all print tasks on a network printer. Is there a way to transparently copy the print data (preferably in a readable format, like PDF or XPS) along with spooling them to the printer? Either on a Windows or CUPS print server, or on the client that sends the print task. So when a user sends a print task to the printer, not only it is printed, but also saved to a file server. I want to avoid having to set up a monitoring port on the LANswitch and wiresharking the data from it and then parsing and converting them, as they would be in a printer-specific format.
